A contemporary twist on the traditional French beurrier of the 19th century, the Butter Bell Crocks made by Dove and Crane are not just things of beauty to adorn your kitchen, they have the important function of keeping your butter soft, creamy, flavoursome and fresh. 

Room temperature butter is preferable for easy spreading and also for many baking projects.  To avoid bacteria and odours, the butter bell makes use of a natural water seal for optimum hygiene.  Simply  change the water that’s inside every few days and your butter will last for up to a month, just sitting conveniently on your counter and without any need for refrigeration.
